Automation Engineer

Job Description


  •  Meets established deadlines while maintaining an elevated level of quality    

  •  Responsible for building and implementing solutions for business teams    

  •  Responsible for documentation and design architecture automations that interact with both internal and external applications    

  •  Performs analysis to help business teams recognize the feasibility of automated solutions    

  •  Troubleshoots issues that arise in day to day running, providing timely responses and solutions as required    

  •  Leads structured, collaborative process reviews and process automation overview walkthroughs    

  •  Maintains and improves automations by collaborating with business teams to map existing work processes and identify productivity opportunities    

  •  Evaluates existing processes and systems for the purpose of modification and resolution of business challenges/enhancements    

  •  Assist customers in developing automation strategies and roadmaps while also providing guidance around RPA Operating Model    

  •  Eliminating defects and errors with product and software development  

  •  Involve in Agile methodology to deliver best quality of the product by Automation  

  •  Provide peer feedback, testing, and support in a fast-paced, agile team environment  

  Additional General Functions And Outcomes For Level II    

  •  Develops efficient and effective automation solutions in solving light to medium complex business problems    

  •  Provides consulting support for technical and Business partners by researching, identifying, and resolving automation problems    

  •  Develops light to medium-complex streamline business processes and support operational objectives    

  Minimum Requirements    

  •  Experience with Scrum/Agile methodology preferred    

  • Experience with mid-level to complex problem solving

  • Experience with workflow technology

  • Experience with cross-platform integration services via standard methods and custom product capabilities  

  •  Maintains positive relationships with internal customers, vendors, and development team members    

  •  Communicates clearly in a timely manner both written and verbally    

  •  Able to work with minimum direction and manage their own work    

  •  Develop business requirements for the implementation of future state automation capabilities    

  •  Design, test, and deliver automations using industry leading technology solutions    

  •  Experience with Robotics, AI and machine learning  

  Additional Minimum Requirements For Level II    

  • Able to take and/or provide direction from others in analyzing and implementing operational automation solutions and problems

  •  Ability to work autonomously once given then problem statement and associated inputs  

  •  Able to take and/or provide direction from others in resolving operational automation problems     Proficient in core technologies and methodologies used by the team (Microsoft Office, ServiceNow, Flexera, Compass, ect)  

  •  Able to adapt to changing industry technologies and methodologies and apply them to operational business needs of limited scope    

  •  Able to analyze, diagnose and resolve light to medium complex automation problems and system coordination issues    

  •  Proficient in Use Case Development and Solution design      

  •  Proven experience developing and maintaining testing systems and dev ops tool  

  •  Coding experience in an Object Oriented language (Java preferred, although C# or C++ experience would translate here)  

  • Scripting and programming experience is a must

  • Experience with workflow integration and automation across various platforms

  Education Experience    
  The Business Automation Architect III would have a bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, or related field, 5-7 years of business/technical experience preferably in an enterprise environment  
  with five (5) years of experience in defining and analyzing business requirements, process modeling, and acceptance testing with two (2) years of experience effectively writing, testing and implementing automated operational    
  solutions; or equivalent combination of education and experience in support of corporate projects; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
