Boeing Global Services Digital Solutions team is currently looking for an Experienced Test Automation Engineer to join their team in Bengaluru, KA. Position Responsibilities:

• The selected individual will work in the Boeing India Engineering and Technology Center (BIETC) in Bangalore, India.
• Responsible for translating requirements into actionable test strategies and test plans.
• Responsible for automation of existing system tests and new features/functionality.
• Responsible communicating and socializing test results and practices with the appropriate software development, architecture, requirements and functional test teams.
• Responsible for developing and enhancing integrated solution test plans.
• Responsible for performing analysis of test results for individual components and overall solution and providing feedback on test results.
• Responsible for having a thorough understanding of the project’s test environment(s) internal and external as well as the project’s policies for working in the test environment(s).
• Responsible for working with development teams, architecture, and system engineering in combined integration test efforts.
• Responsible for entering detailed defect reports in the project’s approved defect tracking system.
• Participate in the creation of standardized and project-specific plans and procedures for testing.
• Support and follow software development methodologies and life cycle, quality standards and procedures.
• This position will support initiatives of the Boeing Digital Aviation organization related to engineering excellence, employee development, mentoring, customer engagement etc.
• Should have experience in Software Engineering Domain with evidence of thorough understanding of requirements to solve problems and actively participates in software development.
• Should have demonstrated ability to work in an AGILE environment
• Must be flexible, with a high tolerance for organizational complexity and ability to work with partners from within Boeing and outside, across different cultures and time-zones.
• Candidate must be a self-starter with a positive attitude, high ethics, strong analytical and creative problem solving skills and a track record of working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environment.
• Ability to independently execute & deliver on the backlog without dependency or hand-holding.
• Should be an excellent team player.
• This position will require travel within India and internationally.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Proficient with Java, Karate framework, API testing.
• Experience in Jmeter for Performance Testing required
• Knowledge of Agile development practices required.
• Knowledge of tools such as GIT, JIRA, Confluence, Contour.
• Knowledge in all of the following areas: test planning, product verification and validation.
• Familiarity with MS Office tools.
• Need have skills around public cloud AWS or Azure.
• Hands-on experience with Database
• Knowledge on Weather types like METAR, TAF, AIRMET, SIGMENT, etc would be a plus, but not required.
• Knowledge on FSS (Flight Support Services) would be preferred
• Must have experience working with cross-functional teams spread across multiple products and locations within Boeing and external partners.
• Must be flexible, with a high tolerance for organizational complexity and ability to work with partners from within Boeing and outside, across different cultures and time-zones.
• Communication – strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Candidate must be fluent in English, with excellent grammar.
• Candidate must be a self-starter with a positive attitude, high ethics, and a track record of working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environment.
• Candidate must have strong attention to detail.
• Effectively resolve problems and roadblocks as they occur, consistently following through on details while driving innovation as well as issue resolution
• Must have experience working with cross-functional teams spread across multiple products and locations within Boeing and external partners, across different cultures and time-zones
• Collaborate effectively with a team of development engineers, QA/Testing, Build, and Project Management.
• Mentors junior team members on technical aspects. The selected individual will also be responsible to provide support to development of internal competency and resources for critical skill sets

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• Good understanding of NOTAM's, Experienced with Navigation databases, Flight planning and dispatch solutions, knowledge on EFB applications, ARINC 633 format (any ARINC standards), Hands on Navigation maps (airport maps , obstacle , aviation databases), eNOTAMS
• Knowledgeable about airline flight operations and piloting procedures
• Flight Management System (FMS) domain knowledge
• Knowledge on Weather, Wind updates, GRIB, , Navigation database, Notams, CRAM/CDR, Brief idea on enroute charges and Tracks, ACARS, Euro control B2B feeds
• Familiar with Airspace structure domain knowledge
• Knowledge of Airline Operations Center (AOC) domain
• Knowledge of NOAA significant meteorological (SIGMET) processing

Typical Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree with 8+ years of experience or Master’s Degree with 7+ years of experience is must
