This also involves migrating services from legacy BSIP platform to the new platform. This role will require a self-starter test lead with working knowledge on AWS cloud in capital markets along with exposure to test automation. Our client is looking for a T shape professional who is able to also able to function as a BA and provide business insights and recommendations (hence strong capital markets knowledge is important), this is a multi-disciplinary role.

Responsibilities

- Developing functional test scenarios and test cases and defect analysis reports;
- Reporting issues to Test Lead and updates Test Manager when required.
- Work with the Business Analysts to define:
Static Test reviews (of Business Requirement, Functional Specification documents)
Planning and scheduling of test phases for projects as detailed within the Test Strategy
Development of test conditions and test cases for phase level testing
Collect requirements for test data create test data
Create Acceptance Criteria for user stories and generate test cases in Jira
Recording of test metrics
Phase level test execution
Defect management
Status reporting
work closely with onshore developers and business analysts
Ability to remain flexible in response to changing priorities
Ability to handle multiple projects with a positive attitude
Comfortable working on open-ended problems and formulate solution
Prepare test scenarios and test cases.

Skills

Must have

Strong functional knowledge on capital markets especially on Foreign Exchange or Fixed Income products
Strong working knowledge on AWS cloud platform preferably in capital markets industry ( AWS certified candidates are preferred)
Strong working knowledge on trading portals like ION, Bloomberg, Reuters, EBS etc.
Proficient in all types of functional testing including regression, progression (mandatory).
- SQL skills including all types of joins (mandatory)
- Basic XML knowledge (required to check messages during testing). (mandatory)
- Basic troubleshooting skills on unix/linux environments(optional)
- Hands on experience in performing Integration Testing, working with tools like WinSCP, Soap UI,Junit Testing etc.
- Familiar with scrum ceremonies and practises and experience working in onshore-offshore model.
-In-depth understanding of trade life cycle.
-Understanding of creating defects in Agile Scrum development projects.
-Good communication analytical skills to replicate and explain steps to developers.
-Good understanding of Swift messages for confirmation settlements.

Tools - SQL Developer, Soap UI, Filezilla, Jmeter, Jira
General: demonstrated testing ability, translating user stories to test cases. Following a process to identify test scenarios, prioritise these and drill down to test cases. Work with developers, raise defects, test releases. Understand what can be automated, what should be prioritised for automation and preferably, implement the automation.

Nice to have

Exposure to automation frameworks like Cucumber, Java, Selenium, UFT etc
Exposure to CICD tools like Jenkins, Git, Teamcity, Artefactory etc
