What you’ll be doing...

As a Data Scientist, you will be working on multiple advanced data analytics projects to uncover hidden patterns and drive change among the teams by deploying the solutions and insights.This role will play a key role in all the systems, data and analytics aspects within this Finance group.

• You will help to envision, communicate, and facilitate deployment and execution of data and analytics work.
• You will collaborate with multiple Business and Finance teams across Verizon.
• You will build advanced ML models to detect fraud and explore opportunities to prevent fraud through state of the art solutions
• Share knowledge with junior data scientists and guide them in their tasks.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor degree or four Four more years of work experience.
• Four or more years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in Computer Science or Master’s degree in Statistics
• Five or more years of strong experience in analytical model building and designing analytical solutions
• Experiencein the design, implementation and interpretation of advanced analytics concepts and projects related to Big Data, AI and ML/DL
• Knowledge in Supervised, Unsupervised Machine learning and deep neural network techniques
• Knowledge on Statistical and Time Series techniques
• Experience in using statistical computer languages (R, Python) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
• Knowledge on model deployment and monitoring
• SQL experience one or many (Postgres, Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata)
• OS/HW: Experience in Linux/Unix open systems, AWS and/or Windows environment.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Knowledge on AWS EKS environment
• Fraud detection experience.
• Communication & stakeholder management skills
